Chai Cupcakes

  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees.
  • Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside.
  • Steep the tea bags in the hot water and let cool.
  • Beat the egg yolks until creamy and gradually add the brown sugar.
  • Add the oil, the warm tea, and mix very well.
  • Add the flour gradually, along with the baking powder and ground spices until well combined.
  • Gently fold in the beaten egg whites.
  • Bake at 190 degrees for 25-30 minutes in a greased muffin pan.
  • For the frosting: Beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
