Cupcakes with Vanilla Frosting

Cupcakes are super trendy. They are individual cakes served with frosting on top. These vanilla cupcakes are also made with a vanilla frosting and are perfect for celebrations like baby showers, bridal showers, and birthdays.

  • 1/2 cups unsalted butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, royal
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, time for the frosting
  • 6 1/2 cups icing sugar, for the frosting
  • 1/2 cups cow's milk, for the frosting
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence, for the frosting

  • Let the eggs and butter sit at room temperature. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Beat the butter with a mixer on high speed for 30 seconds. Gradually add the sugar and mix on high speed until fluffy and light. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla.
  • Bake at 350ºF (180ºC) for 20-25 minutes until slightly golden.
  • To prepare the vanilla frosting, mix the butter with 4 cups of sugar, milk, and vanilla in a mixer and beat until creamy. Gradually add the remaining sugar, one cup at a time, beating well each time until the desired consistency is achieved.
