1 box cake mix, with the necessary ingredients to prepare it
1 tub vanilla frosting, store-bought
food coloring, for cakes
rainbow sprinkles, to taste

Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions.
In a cupcake tray, place the 12 ice cream cones (make sure they have a flat base so they won't tip over).
Put the cake batter into a piping bag (or a resealable bag with a corner cut off) and fill the cones 2/3 full (if not, they may overflow).
Bake according to the package instructions, until they are slightly golden and a toothpick inserted comes out dry.
Prepare the colored frostings or the color you wish to use. Make sure to add one drop at a time. Mix well and place in a piping bag.
Cover the cupcakes with circular motions (you can use a large star tip to make them look like machine-made ice cream) and sprinkle with colorful sprinkles.
