Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes

This is the best cupcake idea for a birthday party. They are very easy to prepare and will leave everyone delighted with the surprise that they are cupcakes and not ice cream.

  • 12 ice cream cones, with a flat base
  • 1 box cake mix, with the necessary ingredients to prepare it
  • 1 tub vanilla frosting, store-bought
  • food coloring, for cakes
  • rainbow sprinkles, to taste

  • Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions.
  • In a cupcake tray, place the 12 ice cream cones (make sure they have a flat base so they won't tip over).
  • Put the cake batter into a piping bag (or a resealable bag with a corner cut off) and fill the cones 2/3 full (if not, they may overflow).
  • Bake according to the package instructions, until they are slightly golden and a toothpick inserted comes out dry.
  • Prepare the colored frostings or the color you wish to use. Make sure to add one drop at a time. Mix well and place in a piping bag.
  • Cover the cupcakes with circular motions (you can use a large star tip to make them look like machine-made ice cream) and sprinkle with colorful sprinkles.
