Easy Cupcakes to Decorate

This is a classic recipe for making cupcakes. It is a vanilla cake that comes out fluffy and is perfect for decorating as you like.

  • 3 cups flour

  • 3/4 teaspoons salt
  • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 1/4 cups cow's milk

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees or 350 F. Place cupcake liners on a baking tray.
  • In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a mixer, cream the butter with the sugar until it has a fluffy consistency and is pale yellow. Add the eggs one at a time, beating until fully incorporated and scraping the sides with a spatula. Add the vanilla.
  • Alternately, add the flour mixture and the milk to the mixer, ensuring everything is well combined.
  • Divide the mixture among the cupcake liners in the trays, filling them 3/4 full.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Cool for 5 minutes and decorate as desired.
