Custard Cake

Delicious custard cake that you can decorate to your liking. It's perfect to accompany with a nice glass of fresh milk, coffee, or chocolate.

  • 250 grams clotted cream
  • 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • walnuts, optional

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Sift the flour, baking powder, salt, and mix.
  • Beat the eggs in another bowl for 2 minutes.
  • Add the sugar to the eggs and beat for 1 more minute.
  • Add the cream and vanilla. Gradually add the flour and milk.
  • Beat until everything is well integrated.
  • Pour the mixture into a previously floured container. Add the nuts on top of the mixture.
  • Bake at 180°C for 45 minutes. Check the doneness by inserting a toothpick; if it comes out clean, it's ready.
  • Let it cool for 10-15 minutes after taking it out of the oven.
