  • 4 cups flour
  • 10 grams dry yeast
  • 3/4 cups cow's milk
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cups butter
  • flour, for rolling
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • sugar, for sprinkling

  • In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, milk, sugar, salt, and eggs and knead until incorporated. Add butter and keep kneading for at least 15 more minutes until smooth.
  • Place dough in a previously greased bowl and cover with a wet kitchen towel. Let rise for 1 hour.
  • On a floured surface, roll out dough with a rolling pin to 0.3-inch thickness. Let rest for10 minutes before cutting.
  • In a small pot over medium heat, heat oil and using a stick, fry donuts on both sides. Once golden brown, remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil. Sprinkle with sugar. Serve homemade sugar donuts.
