Double Chocolate Cake

This rich cake is ideal for chocolate lovers. The cake mix has semi-bitter chocolate and cocoa as well as a delicious chocolate bitumen that everyone will love.

  • 600 grams semisweet chocolate, to cook
  • 1 1/2 cups coffee, freshly made american
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 3/4 tablespoons baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 3/4 tablespoons vanilla essence
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar, for bitumen
  • 1/2 sticks unsalted butter

  • Preheat the oven to 180 ° C
  • In a bowl mix 100 grams of the chopped chocolate with the hot coffee, stirring constantly until the chocolate is melted.
  • In another bowl mix the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • With a blender , beat the eggs for 3-4 minutes; add the oil, milk, vanilla and chocolate mixture with coffee and whisk until integrating, add the mixture of sugar little by little and continue beating until you get a cake dough.
  • Pour half of the dough into a cake mold previously greased and floured and the other half in the other mold, bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let cool and unmold.
  • For the bitumen, it chops the remaining chocolate (500 gr), reserve.
  • Heat the cream with the sugar over medium heat and stir with a balloon whisk until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from the heat, add the chocolate with the butter and mix until integrated. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Spread the bitumen over one of the cakes and cover with the other cake. Decorate with the remaining bitumen and a little red fruit.
