Medium
  • Mix the flour, sugar, yeast, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  • Add the egg, vanilla, oil, and half a cup of hot water.
  • Mix all the ingredients until a uniform dough is formed that does not stick to your hands.
  • Make a ball with the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes, covering it with a cloth.
  • After 20 minutes and once the dough has increased in volume, roll it out with a rolling pin and use a glass to shape it, removing the center with a smaller one (it can be with a tequila shot glass).
  • When cutting the donuts, the dough should be between 2 to 3 cm thick for the donut to puff up well. Once cut, let the donuts rest for 10 minutes while we heat enough oil to cook them.
  • Fry them for 20 to 25 seconds on each side and let them drain on a plate with paper towels.
  • While the donuts drain a bit, we start hydrating the gelatin with the remaining hot water, flavorings, and colorings, and put it in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, take the gelatin out of the refrigerator and cover the donuts with it; use a knife to trim off the excess, and you're done.
  • Finally, place the crushed cookies on the donuts using the melted chocolate to ensure they stick well.
