Dulce de Leche Empanadas

  • 2 tablespoons milk, for the mass

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon, for the mass
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder, for the mass
  • 1 cup dulce de leche, for the filling
  • 1 egg yolk, for the filling
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla flavored cornstarch, for the filling
  • 3/4 cups walnuts, finely chopped, for the filling
  • 1 egg, to varnish

  • In a bowl mix the flour, butter, sugar, yogurt, milk, vanilla essence, cinnamon and knead until you have a homogeneous consistency. Let it rest in a bowl covered with plastic wrap for 30 minutes.
  • For the filling, mix the dulce de leche with the yolk, the starch, the walnuts. Reservation.
  • On a floured surface, stretch the dough to a thickness of 3 mm, with the help of a 10 cm diameter cutter, cut circles, fill with the dulce de leche, close with the help of a fork.
  • Place the empanadas on a tray, glaze with egg and bake for 20 minutes at 180 ° C.
  • Serve with coffee.
