Duo Danette

Try this delicious marbled loaf made with Vanilla Flavor Danette® custard and Chocolate Flavor Danette® custard.

  • 2 sticks butter, (90 g each) melted
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cups cow's milk
  • 2 vanilla flavored custard, danette 100g each
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 chocolate flavor custard, danette 100g each
  • icing sugar, for dusting

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Beat the butter with the eggs and sugar until lightly fluffy. Add the milk with the Vanilla Flavor Danette® custard and the vanilla essence; gradually incorporate the flour previously mixed with the baking powder. Beat until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • Divide the mixture into two equal parts; to one of them, add the Chocolate Flavor Danette® custard and mix until incorporated.
  • In a previously greased and floured loaf pan, place some of the vanilla mixture in the pan, then a little of the chocolate, and so on until the pan is filled ¾ full. Use a knife to swirl for a marbled effect.
  • Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool, unmold, and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
