Easy Butter Cookies

  • 250 grams butter
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • Preheat the oven to 180 ° (356F) C.
  • In a bowl, cream the butter with a blender until it is creamy, add sugar. In another bowl stir the baking powder with the flour and set aside.
  • Add the egg to the creamed butter, with the sugar (at this point it will look like a sticky dough).
  • Once the egg is well incorporated, add salt and vanilla.
  • Then, little by little add the flour mixture until it is a soft dough (when grasping it with your fingers if pressure is exerted you have to sink into the cookie dough a little).
  • Divide the mixture into two plastic bags and place in the refrigerator for fifteen minutes.
  • Once the dough is cooled, put a little flour on a flat surface and extend until it is about half a centimeter thick. Cut the cookies with the mold of your preference.
  • To bake them, place them on a previously greased and floured tray; bake ten to fifteen minutes or until the edges are barely brown.
  • Take out of the oven and let cool down. When they are cold you can decorate them.
