Anise and Almond Cookies

Almonds have many nutritional properties; try them with this anise and almond cookie recipe. You can also make them as a gift.

  • 225 grams flour
  • 225 grams almonds, ground
  • 150 grams icing sugar
  • 150 grams butter
  • 30 milliliters anise
  • 1 egg

  • Mix the butter with the sugar and beat until you obtain a cream.
  • Add the egg and continue beating.
  • Incorporate the flour and the ground almonds, and mix well.
  • Add the anise liqueur and mix again until you have a dough.
  • Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and cut into donut shapes. Place the cookies on one or two baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the cookies with a beaten egg.
  • Place the cookies in a preheated oven at about 180°C for 20 minutes or until they are lightly browned. Allow to cool and serve.
