Butter Cookies with 5 Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups butter, 200 g, at room temperature (soft)
  • 1/2 cups icing sugar, 50 g
  • 2 cups flour, 280 g
  • 1 egg white
  • brown sugar

  • In a mixer, mix the butter with the powdered sugar, beat with a paddle for 1 minute; add all the flour and knead only until the ingredients are combined. Remember that if you overwork the dough, your cookies will turn out hard.
  • Shape the cookie dough into logs with an approximate diameter of 5 cm, wrap with plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours. Cut the dough logs to form the cookies, with a thickness of ½ cm each.
  • Place on a baking sheet leaving a space of 3 cm between each; brush with egg white and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake at 180 °C for about 15 minutes, until they are a light golden color. Cool down.
