100 grams butter
3/4 cups sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoons salt
1/2 tablespoons red food coloring
30 grams butter, for the frosting
90 grams cream cheese
1 cup icing sugar
1 tablespoon cow's milk
1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence

Cream the butter and add the sugar until it is slightly fluffy and light in color.
Add the egg and vanilla until well combined.
Combine the sifted flour, baking soda, and salt gradually into the butter mixture.
Divide the dough into equal parts. One part will be colored with red dye. It is recommended to refrigerate the dough to achieve the right texture.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle and stack it on top of itself. The width will depend on the pieces and size you desire.
Roll the dough and cut slices of 2cm.
Place them on a baking sheet with a little space between them because they will spread.
Bake in the oven at 180ºC for 10 minutes or until the cookie starts to brown around the edges.
Make the frosting by creaming the cream cheese with the butter until there are no lumps. Incorporate the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
