In a deep bowl with a whisk, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
With an electric mixer, beat the butter with the brown sugar and sugar until fluffy.
Add the flour mixture and vanilla extract and gradually beat in all the dough. Finally, add the egg.
Add the M&Ms and fold in with a wooden spoon.
Prepare 2-3 baking sheets with parchment paper. Place spoonfuls of dough in circles with 5cm between each and bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and use a spatula to separate the cookies from the sheet and allow to cool before serving.
