Hot Chocolate Cookies

Prepare these delicious and original hot chocolate cookies. They are very easy to make and have a firm texture on the outside but soft on the inside, covered with a chocolate ganache and topped with a melted marshmallow. Don't miss out on trying them.

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cups cocoa
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups raw sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 25 marshmallows
  • 2 cups sugar, (for the frosting)
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted (for the frosting)
  • 1/4 cups cocoa, (for the frosting)
  • 1/4 cups water, boiling (for the frosting)
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence, (for the frosting)
  • chocolate chips, (for the frosting)

  • Preheat the oven to 170°C.
  • Place the chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl and heat until melted.
  • Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla.
  • Add the melted chocolate mixture to the mixer, blend, and while mixing, gradually add the flour mixture.
  • Cover the dough and refrigerate for 1 hour. Form equal-sized balls with the mixture and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 170°C for 10 - 12 minutes.
  • Cut the marshmallows in half, and once the cookies are baked, remove them from the oven and place a half of a marshmallow in the center of each one.
  • Return the cookies to the oven for 2-3 minutes. Remove them from the oven and let them cool for 10 minutes.
  • For the frosting: Combine all the ingredients and pour some frosting over the cookies. Decorate with colored sprinkles.
