Christmas Cookies with Nutella

  • 100 grams butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 1/2 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cups cranberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups almonds, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cups pistachio, finely chopped
  • flour, for dusting
  • Nutella®, 15 g per serving

  • Use the paddle attachment of the mixer to mix the butter and sugar. Beat until the butter is well creamed and there are no lumps.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla and beat. Once combined, gradually add the flour and baking powder. Incorporate the blueberries, almonds, and pistachios, and beat for 3 minutes or until a homogeneous dough is obtained.
  • Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Flour a clean surface and roll out the dough with a rolling pin until it reaches a thickness of about 1 cm.
  • Use cookie cutters in the shape of Christmas trees, stars, and more to form the cookies. Place them on a greased baking sheet and bake at 180 °C for 15 minutes.
  • Decorate with 15 grams of Nutella® and serve with a glass of milk and fruit.
