  • 125 grams flour, for the gingerbread cookie
  • 50 grams butter, for the gingerbread cookie
  • 30 grams raw sugar, for the gingerbread cookie
  • 30 grams granulated sugar, for the gingerbread cookie
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder, for the gingerbread cookie
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, for the gingerbread cookie
  • 1/4 teaspoons clove, for the gingerbread cookie
  • 1 egg, for the gingerbread cookie
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, for the gingerbread cookie
  • 250 grams icing sugar, for the frosting
  • 15 grams meringue powder, for the frosting
  • 25 milliliters water, for the frosting
  • 1/2 limes, its juice, for the frosting

  • Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  • Cream the butter with the sugar until it whitens and softens.
  • Add the egg with the vanilla until fully combined.
  • Add the flour with the spices all at once until a dough forms without overworking it and refrigerate for approximately 15 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface, cut the house using the downloadable template and place on a floured baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until evenly browned.
  • For the frosting, beat all the ingredients for 7 minutes until it thickens; divide the mixture and add the desired food coloring.
