Drunken Empanaditas

These are delicious empanadas filled with pineapple and a touch of beer, perfect for dessert. Invite your kids to help you make them, and you’ll see they will have fun with you.

  • 1 kilo flour
  • 1/2 kilos lard
  • 1 beer
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 jar pineapple jam
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 kilos sugar

  • Heat the lard until it melts, then place it in the tray where you will knead and add the flour, beer, baking powder, and the tablespoon of sugar. Knead until a smooth dough forms.
  • Then, take small balls to roll them out with a rolling pin.
  • Once rolled out, fill them with pineapple jam to form the empanadita.
  • Preheat the oven to 150ºC.
  • Arrange the empanaditas on greased and floured baking trays.
  • Place them in the oven at 150ºC for half an hour or until they are cooked.
