Gingerbread and Cinnamon Cookies

Delicious gingerbread cookie recipe, exquisite and delightful, they are the best, I highly recommend them!

  • 1/2 cups butter, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups honey, cane
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt

  • Preheat the oven to 190°C.
  • In a saucepan, mix the butter, sugar, honey, and vinegar until it comes to a boil. Stir constantly, remove from heat, and let cool until the mixture is warm. Stir in the beaten egg.
  • Combine the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, salt, and stir with the previous mixture until a smooth dough forms.
  • Divide the dough into three parts. Shape each portion into a disk. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1cm (¼ inch) thick.
  • Cut the dough with a gingerbread man cookie cutter and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are golden.
  • Ready! You can already smell the aroma of these delicious homemade Christmas cookies. Serve them as the main dish for the snack.
