Hanukkah Sugar Cookies

Welcome your guests with these delicious sugar cookies, they are very easy to make and perfect for celebrating this special night of Hanukkah. It uses ingredients you have at home and in less than 30 minutes you will have a spectacular dessert.

  • 4 cups wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cups canola oil
  • 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 tablespoons rainbow sprinkles

  • Preheat the oven to 180° C
  • In a medium bowl, mix the flour with the sugar and baking powder.
  • Beat on low speed the oil with the orange juice, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  • Without stopping mixing, gradually add the flour mixture until a dough forms and it pulls away from the bowl.
  • Cover the dough with cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Grease a baking tray with a little cooking spray.
  • On a floured table, roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 mm. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out and decorate with colored sprinkles.
  • Place on the tray and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let cool and serve.
