1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cups brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoons salt
1/3 cups cocoa
1 tablespoon red food coloring
1 stick cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon liquid vanilla

Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
For the cookies, cream the butter with both types of sugar until the mixture looks fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla and continue beating. Once well mixed, add the food coloring and let the entire mixture turn red.
In another bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder, cocoa, and salt. Once combined, gradually add them to the butter mixture.
For the filling, using a mixer, blend the cream cheese with the sugar and vanilla until smooth.
To assemble the cookies, add 2 tablespoons of the cookie mixture and flatten it in the palm of your hand.
Add a teaspoon of filling in the center and cover it with the cookie mixture, forming a ball.
Place the ball on a baking sheet. Continue until you finish the mixtures.
Bake the cookies for 11 to 13 minutes or until they start to crack on top. Let them cool.
