Preheat the oven to 180 °C
In a bowl, sift the flour with the salt, baking powder, and nutmeg. Set aside.
Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy at medium-high speed.
With low speed, add the beaten egg in two or three additions until fully incorporated. Add the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the flour while mixing until the dough pulls away from the sides.
Mix the tablespoon of sugar with the teaspoon of cinnamon well.
Form walnut-sized balls with the dough and roll them in the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
