  • 1 kilo flour
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 7 egg yolks
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 600 grams unsalted butter, at room temperature

  • icing sugar, optional for decorating
  • chocolate, optional for decorating

  • Preheat the oven to 180º C.
  • On a clean surface for kneading, sift the flour with a pinch of salt.
  • Form a hole in the center of the mound of flour to add the sugar, the egg yolks, the whole egg, and the vanilla. Stir to dissolve the sugar.
  • Add the butter at room temperature and knead until you obtain a smooth dough.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut the cookies to your liking.
  • Bake for approximately 20 minutes. Remove them from the oven when they are lightly golden on the bottom.
  • Decorate to taste.
