These Traditional Butter Cookies are the simple dessert you're looking for. Enjoy an afternoon of coffee with your friends and serve these delicious cookies. To make the dough a bit crunchier you can add nuts like walnuts or almonds.

Ingredients

10 portions
  • 1 kilo flour
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 7 egg yolks
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 600 grams unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • to taste jam, optional
  • to taste powdered sugar, optional to decorate
  • to taste chocolate, optional to decorate

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180º C.
On a clean surface to knead, hover the flour with the pinch of salt.
Froma in the center of the pile of flour a hole in the middle to add sugar, egg yolks, whole egg and vanilla. Stir the sugar to melt.
Add the butter at room temperature and knead until a smooth dough is obtained.
Spread the dough on a floured surface and cut the cookies to taste.
Bake approximately 20 minutes. Remove them from the oven when they are slightly browned from below.
Decorate to taste.

PRESENTATION

According to your taste, you can join them with jam in pairs, or leave them alone. You can also sprinkle them with icing sugar or make a frosting with this same sugar and a few drops of water or lemon and then sprinkle threads of melted chocolate.

TIPS

This recipe yields enough cookies. You can combine the presentations. They are delicious with a good glass of milk.
