Nut Whispers

These are soft and delicious nut cookies, as light as a whisper, and they are super easy to make.

  • 2 cups butter
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla essence
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts, chopped
  • 3 1/2 cups flour

  • Cream the butter (which should be at room temperature) and add the sugar, salt, and vanilla, mixing very well.
  • Add the flour previously mixed with the nuts to the butter mixture and beat very well until you have a dough.
  • Divide the dough and form sticks or rolls, wrap them in plastic wrap or aluminum foil, and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
  • Once the rolls are firm, cut slices of approximately 1 cm and place them on a baking sheet (no need to grease it).
  • Bake for approximately 15 to 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°, or until the edges are golden.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool, and roll in powdered sugar.
