Date Pudding

Date pudding is a dessert that combines dates, carrots, ginger, black tea, and the essential ingredients for a dessert: butter and sugar. A very delicious dessert! Try it!

  • 100 grams lard
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 100 milliliters black tea
  • 300 grams self-rising flour
  • 1 cup carrot , finely grated
  • 1 cup dates, chopped dehydrated

  • Preheat the oven to medium temperature. Grease and flour two pudding molds.
  • Process the butter and sugar in a bowl. Add the eggs one by one while beating until a cream is formed. Add the ginger, 100 milliliters of tea (not hot), and the flour. Beat for 3 minutes and then add the grated carrots and chopped dates. Fold in gently until these last elements are integrated.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pudding molds, previously greased and floured (the mixture should not exceed half of the mold). Bake for 30 minutes at medium temperature.
  • Confirm they are ready by inserting a skewer and ensuring it comes out clean. Let cool for a moment and unmold.
