Cream gorditas are a typical dessert from fairs. The best part is that they are made with a very simple dough, cooked directly on a griddle or comal, resulting in a soft and fluffy treat.

Mix the flour with the baking powder, sugar, and salt in a bowl, then add the egg and the cream. Mix well and then transfer to a clean surface to knead by hand and finish integrating.
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Sprinkle some flour, roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1.5 cm, and cut circles approximately 8 to 10 cm in diameter.
Heat a comal or griddle over medium heat and cook the cream gorditas for 3 minutes on each side or until they puff up.
Serve the cream gorditas with La Lechera® Sirve Fácil Dulce de Leche and strawberries.
