Flowers for Mom

This is my mom's favorite recipe, only this time it's made with a special touch to surprise her. This dessert is simple, economical, and delicious. It's a combination of the traditional milk pie but with a fruity twist and a presentation that any mom will love.

  • 250 grams wheat flour
  • 125 grams vegetable shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 peaches, chopped

  • In a bowl, add the flour and the shortening, mix until everything is incorporated, and you will get a sandy mixture. Break the egg and form a dough with your hands.
  • Using a flower-shaped cookie cutter, cut the dough and place it in cupcake molds. Bake at 180 °C for 25 minutes, after this time remove from the oven and let cool.
  • For the filling, place a cup of evaporated milk with a cinnamon stick in a pot, add the sugar, and bring to a boil. In a separate bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the remaining half cup of milk. Pour this into the pot while stirring until it thickens.
  • Pour the milk mixture into the tartlets and add chopped peaches to each one.
  • Now the tartlets for mom are ready, refrigerate them to enjoy them even more.
