Prepare these delicious and easy meringues for a baby shower. They are very simple to make and you can decorate them however you like. They bake at a low temperature for 1 hour to ensure they are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They are perfect as a treat for your guests or to serve during the baby shower. Don’t miss out on making them; you will love them.
Separate the yolks from the whites. If you accidentally get a yolk in the egg whites, I recommend starting the separation over as the egg whites will not whip up properly.
Whip the egg whites and gradually add the sugar until stiff peaks form.
Divide the mixture into three equal parts and tint two of the halves with food coloring, leaving one white. Place each meringue into a piping bag and on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat, shape into different figures. Use a round tip to form clouds with the white meringue, and raindrops with the blue meringue. For rosettes, use a star tip in the pink meringue bag.
Decorate with colorful sprinkles or sugar pearls and bake in the oven at 150°C for 1 hour. You know the meringues are ready when they easily lift off.
Let them cool for about 20 minutes and serve.
