Pumpkin Pie with Condensed Milk

The autumn season arrives with one of its best ingredients: pumpkin. We invite you to take advantage of it and prepare this sweet pumpkin pie with condensed milk, a classic for Thanksgiving! The best part is that this dessert has the perfect combination of flavors and spices, it's irresistible!

  • 2 cups zucchini , in cubes, for the filling
  • 1 tablespoon ginger powder, for the filling
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, for the filling
  • 1 cup orange juice, for the filling
  • 1 cup condensed milk , for the filling
  • 2 eggs , for the filling
  • 1 1/2 cups wheat flour, for the dough
  • 90 grams unsalted butter , for the dough
  • 1/2 teaspoons nutmeg, for the dough
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, for the dough
  • 1/2 teaspoons clove powder, for the dough
  • 1 egg yolk, for the dough
  • water, cold
  • whipped cream, for decoration

  • For the pumpkin filling: Cook the pumpkin, orange juice, ground ginger, and ground cinnamon in a pot over low heat for 30 minutes. Let it cool and set aside.
  • Blend the previous mixture with the condensed milk and eggs until you achieve a smooth and homogeneous consistency. Set aside.
  • For the pie dough: Place the flour, butter, nutmeg, ground cinnamon, egg yolk, and 2 tablespoons of cold water in the KitchenAid® Artisan Stand Mixer. Then, use the paddle attachment to mix on medium speed until a dough forms. Wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 7 mm. Then, cut the dough to the size of the pie mold, carefully transfer it to the mold, and gently press to form the base.
  • Pour the filling over the pie until it is filled to ¾ of its capacity and bake at 180 °C for 40 minutes. Let it cool and set aside.
  • Decorate the pumpkin pie with whipped cream. Cut a slice and enjoy with a cup of coffee!
