Prepare the easiest egg flan with this recipe; this way you'll have an exquisite dessert that won't take much time. Perfect to impress at a meal or gathering since its flavor is addictive and its texture is perfect.
For the Caramel:
Pour the cup of sugar you'll need for the caramel into a pan and stir constantly until the sugar is liquid and dark in color without burning it.
Once you have the caramel ready, pour it into the flan molds, spreading the caramel carefully throughout the mold.
For the Flan:
Pour the 4 eggs into a wide, deep container along with the sugar, mixing very well little by little, then add the milk and vanilla essence and mix again until it becomes somewhat frothy.
Once you see it's well mixed and frothy, pour it into the flan molds.
Leave it for 40 minutes in the oven in a water bath at 180º, making sure to monitor it to prevent burning.
To check if it's ready, poke it with a toothpick; if it comes out clean, it's done; if not, leave it until it does, checking every 3 minutes.
If it's ready, let it cool for 40 minutes, then unmold it and place it in the refrigerator, and... done!
