Coffee Flan with Chocolate

  • 1 liter cow's milk, (warm)
  • 1 box D’Gari® cappuccino flan, (84 g)
  • 1/2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 3/4 cups bittersweet chocolate, (chopped)
  • 1 cup cream cheese, (at room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons whipping cream
  • 1/4 cups icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cups bittersweet chocolate, melted

  • For the flan, pour and mix the D’Gari® cappuccino flavored flan into the warm milk. Heat over low flame, stirring continuously until it comes to a boil and cook for 3 minutes. Pour into a rectangular flan mold and refrigerate until set.
  • For the chocolate sauce, heat the whipping cream over medium heat, once it comes to a boil, infuse with the orange zest and ground cinnamon. Mix well and incorporate the dark chocolate, stirring until you obtain a smooth mixture. Chill.
  • Unmold the flan and drizzle with chocolate sauce, return to refrigeration to thicken.
  • For the chocolate cream, cream the cheese with the whipping cream in the mixer on medium speed. Gradually incorporate the powdered sugar, vanilla, and chocolate while continuing to beat.
  • Place in a pastry bag with a star tip and decorate the flan as desired. Serve chilled.
