Guava Flan with Thyme

Treat your family to this delicious guava flan with thyme. It has a pleasant sweetness that pairs perfectly with the aromatic thyme. It is easy to prepare and can be made a day in advance.

  • 5 eggs
  • 378 milliliters evaporated milk
  • 397 milliliters condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 225 grams cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 225 grams guava
  • 1 cup sugar, for the caramel

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • In a skillet, place the cup of sugar over medium heat and stir with a wooden spatula until caramel forms.
  • Grease a mold with cooking spray and pour the caramel on top.
  • Place the eggs, evaporated milk, condensed milk, vanilla, and cream cheese in the blender. Cut the guavas and remove the seeds, add them to the blender along with the thyme.
  • Pour the mixture into the mold and place it in a deep tray filled halfway with water. Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool for 10 minutes and cover with Pétalo® Non-Stick Film and let cool completely.
  • Unmold and serve with more guavas on top and some thyme sprigs.
