French toast

The recipe for French toast with honey and spices is a delicious dessert any time of the year.

  • 4 slices wholemeal bread
  • 3 eggs, whole
  • 1/2 liters cow's milk
  • 2 pinches cinnamon
  • 2 pinches cardamom
  • 2 pinches clove powder
  • 100 grams honey
  • 400 grams butter

  • The honey should be mixed with a pinch of each spice.
  • Cut the slices of bread into 3 rectangles.
  • Beat the warm milk and eggs. Add a pinch of each spice.
  • Soak the slices in this mixture for 5 minutes.
  • Heat a non-stick pan and melt 10 grams of butter.
  • When the butter is hot, place the 6 rectangles of bread in the pan and fry over high heat for 1 minute on each side.
  • When they are golden on both sides, pour half of the honey over the visible side of the French toast.
  • Flip and fry over very high heat to caramelize.
