Apple Roses

Apple Roses are very easy to make. Perfect for when you need a stunning and easy dessert. It is a very aromatic dessert with a lot of flavor.

  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 2 red apples
  • 3 tablespoons apricot jam
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar

  • Cut the apples in half and remove the core. Slice them thinly.
  • Add water and orange juice to the apple slices. Heat them in the microwave for 3 minutes to soften.
  • Sprinkle the table with flour and roll out the puff pastry. Cut the puff pastry into strips of 5cm x 10cm.
  • Brush the puff pastry with apricot jelly.
  • Drain the apples and place them on the puff pastry, overlapping them. Let them stick out a bit over the edge of the puff pastry.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon on top and fold the rest of the dough over the apples. Roll up the strip and form a rose.
  • Grease a muffin tin with cooking spray and place the roses in it. Bake at 180°C for 20 minutes.
  • Dust with powdered sugar on top and serve with vanilla ice cream.
