Baked Apples Recipe

  • water, iced with ice
  • 1/2 cups walnuts, chopped, for the filling
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds, for the filling
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, for the filling
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg, for the filling
  • 2 tablespoons monk fruit, for the filling
  • 1 tablespoon ghee, or clarified butter, melted, for the filling
  • 1/3 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons white wine

  • Core the apples with a knife or an apple corer, widen the hole you created, and soak them in ice water to prevent oxidation. Remember to drain them very well before using, and if necessary, remove excess water with paper towels.
  • Mix the walnut, chia seeds, cinnamon powder, nutmeg, monk fruit, and melted ghee. Then, fill the apples with this mixture and place them on a baking tray.
  • Pour water and white wine over the tray and bake at 200 °C for 30 minutes or until the apples are soft.
  • Serve these baked apples with mint leaves.
