  • Preheat the oven to 180°C, grease and flour a rectangular mold or two square molds. Sift the flour along with the cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the butter and when it is soft, gradually add the sugar, incorporating the eggs one by one without stopping to beat.
  • Add a little of the flour mixture and a little warm water (previously combined with the vanilla), alternating until finishing with the flour.
  • Pour this mixture into the mold or molds, place them in the oven for approximately 40 to 45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let the bread cool in the mold for 10 minutes and then flip it onto a rack to cool completely. Proceed to prepare the frosting.
  • Place the condensed milk, evaporated milk, butter stick, and sugar over low heat. Always stir with a wooden spoon, without neglecting for a single moment.
  • When the sugar has dissolved, set aside half a cup of this mixture and combine it separately with the 3 egg yolks. Pour this mixture into the milk mixture and cook everything over low heat or in a water bath, stirring until it thickens (that is, until you can see the bottom of the pot you are preparing it in, approximately 45 minutes).
  • Once it has thickened, add the coconut, walnut, and vanilla. Stir everything very well. Cool and frost the cake or cakes one on top of the other.
