Ghost meringues

  • 150 grams bittersweet chocolate
  • 3 egg whites
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 pinch salt

  • Preheat the oven to 100ºC.
  • Beat the egg whites with an electric mixer in 5 minutes and add the pinch of salt.
  • Go adding spoonful sugar in scoop until you have incorporated it all.
  • Have two baking sheets ready with waxed paper.
  • Fill the pastry sleeve with the help of a spoon and make the meringues in the form of rolls.
  • Put the trays in the oven and wait an hour and a half or two until the meringues are dry.
  • Remove the trays from the oven and in which the meringues are cooled melt the bitter chocolate in a bain-marie.
  • With the help of a toothpick draw the eyes and mouths to the meringues to give it the shape of ghosts.
  • Wait until the chocolate gets hard and ready!
