  • 1 cup butter, softened for the buttercream
  • 1 cup icing sugar, sifted for buttercream
  • 3/4 tablespoons McCormick® ground cinnamon, for the buttercream
  • 1 tablespoon McCormick® ground turmeric, for the buttercream
  • 3/4 cups coconut cream, for the buttercream
  • 1/2 tablespoons honey, for the buttercream

  • Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  • Pass the flour, baking powder and salt through a sieve; add McCormick® Ground Cinnamon, McCormick® Ground Ginger, McCormick® Turmeric and McCormick® Ground Pepper. Reservation.
  • In a bowl mix the milk with the whites and the vanilla until it is perfectly integrated. Reservation.
  • With the help of a mixer, mix the butter and sugar until smooth, add the flour little by little and alternate with the mixture of the liquids until finished. Pour the mixture into a previously greased mold and bake for 30 minutes at 180 ° C.
  • Let the cake cool for 15 minutes, unmold and place on a rack.
  • For the buttercream, beat the butter until smooth, add the sugar, cinnamon and McCormick® Ground Turmeric. Mix for 5 minutes and add the coconut cream and honey until incorporated.
  • Divide the cake into 3 parts horizontally and form the cake by arranging a layer of cake as a base, then add a layer of cream and so on until the other two layers are finished.
  • Cover the cake with the rest of the cream and with the help of a spatula, style the cake until it forms a smooth and uniform finish. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Garnish with a little honey and caramelized walnuts.
