Green Tomato Cake

Delicious sweet green tomato cake, very practical to prepare

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cups maraschino cherry
  • 1/2 cups raisins, floured
  • 3 cups wheat flour
  • 2 cups tomatillo
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cups cow's milk
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup icing sugar

  • Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Also, lubricate a cake pan with butter.
  • Stir the oil in a bowl together with the sugar and eggs; Sift the flour in a separate bowl, along with the baking powder and the baking soda; add the tomatoes and the cherries, incorporating them very well.
  • Then, go stirring this mixture of oil and egg, alternated with dry ingredients; add vanilla essence and stir; pour the dough into the mold and put it in the oven for about 90 minutes; Remove the bread from the heat and let it cool in a rack.
  • To make the frosting, boil the milk in a saucepan together with the sugar and butter for five minutes; Remove from the heat and add the icing sugar at once.
  • Beat this mixture until it is shiny and cover the cake with it; decorate it with fresh fruit and nuts.
