Turn on the grill (gas or charcoal) and let it heat up while you prepare the cream.
In a bowl, mix the sour cream, sugar, and ginger until you have a smooth mixture. Cover it with aluminum foil and let it chill in the refrigerator while you prepare the rest.
To cut the pineapple, first cut off the crown. Cut the pineapple into 6 slices and remove the skin from each slice.
Remove the center of each slice. Spread the margarine or melted butter over the slices.
Place the slices on the grill and heat them until they take on a light brown color.
Serve the slices with the sauce.
