This recipe is ideal to surprise your family and friends on Candlemas day; they are original and delicious tamales filled with hazelnut cream. Their fluffy texture and chocolaty flavor will delight everyone.
In a bowl, soak the tamale leaves in hot water for about 20 minutes to hydrate and soften them. Drain and set aside.
Beat the butter with the sugar in a mixer until creamy.
Add the corn flour, rice flour, baking powder, milk, and beat until well combined.
Place 3 tablespoons of dough on the tamale leaf, leaving one centimeter free at the ends, and place 1 tablespoon of hazelnut cream in the center, sprinkle with chocolate chips. Close and fold.
Place the tamales upright in a steamer with hot water and cook for 1 hour or until the dough does not stick to the leaf when opened.
Serve warm on a clay plate and decorate with melted hot chocolate.
