Healthy Oatmeal Cookies

This recipe for oatmeal cookies are healthier than other types of cookies, ideal for those who follow a diet or seek to eat healthy.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 3 cups oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder, royal
  • 1/2 cups raisins

  • Preheat the oven to 180º C.
  • In an electric mixer mix the brown sugar, sugar and butter until you get a creamy and fluffy mixture, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla and make sure with a shovel to remove the dough that is on the sides. Continue mixing.
  • Add flour, oats, baking powder, and mix for 1 additional minute. Add the raisins and finish mixing.
  • Prepare two baking sheets with waxed paper and put balls of dough 2 centimeters apart so they do not stick.
  • Bake cookies for 13 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a plate.
