Learn to make a soft, fluffy chocolate cake with your favorite ingredient Negra Modelo® beer, covered with chocolate frosting. Ideal for celebrating or honoring someone special. You will love it!
2 1/3 cups flour, sifted, for the chocolate cake (222 g)
3/4 cups cocoa, for the chocolate cake (64 g)
2 teaspoons baking soda, for the chocolate cake
1/2 teaspoons baking powder, for the chocolate cake
1 1/2 cups sugar, for the chocolate cake (400 g)
1 teaspoon salt, for the chocolate cake
1 cup black beer Modelo®, for the chocolate cake
3 eggs, for the chocolate cake, at room temperature.
3/4 cups sour cream, for the chocolate cake (170 g)
1 teaspoon vanilla essence, for the chocolate cake
1/2 cups vegetable oil, for the chocolate cake
chocolate frosting, for filling and covering the cake
black beer Modelo®, for pairing

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
In a large bowl, mix the flour with the cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder, pouring them over a sieve to sift. Add the sugar and salt and combine with a whisk. Set aside.
In another bowl, mix the Negra Modelo® beer with the eggs, sour cream, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil, using a spatula to incorporate all the ingredients while breaking up any lumps. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix with a whisk until you obtain a moist and slightly thick batter.
Bake for 35 minutes at 180°C or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool for 30 minutes before unmolding and assembling.
Fill and cover with chocolate frosting. Refrigerate and serve. Pair with Negra Modelo® beer. Enjoy.
