Tamarind water jelly with mango

  • 1 liter tamarind water
  • 3 envelopes unflavored gelatin powder, hydrated and melted
  • 1 envelope mango gelatin
  • 4 cups water, hot
  • 2 cups mango, in cubes
  • chamoy
  • chile powder

  • Heat the tamarind in a pot with water until it boils. Remove from heat, add the gelatin, and mix until dissolved.Transfer the mixture to a mold and let it cool for 1 hour.
  • In a bowl, mix the mango jelly with the mango water until dissolved. Let it cool a bit.
  • Place the mango cubes on top of the tamarind jelly and pour the mango jelly over it. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Unmold the jelly and serve with chamoy and powdered chili.
