Preheat the oven to 180 degrees with the rack in the lower part of the oven.
Grease and flour 2 elongated loaf pans.
Add a few drops of lemon to the milk and mix with the rest of the lemon juice and zest.
In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
With an electric mixer, cream the butter at medium speed.
Add the sugar to the butter and beat until fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating until everything is incorporated.
Reduce the speed to low and add the flour mixture in three parts, alternating with the milk (starting and ending with the flour).
Quickly beat until everything is incorporated (do not overbeat).
Divide the mixture between the two greased and floured pans.
Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out dry.
Let cool for 15 minutes in the pan.
Unmold and let cool completely.
Prepare the glaze: put the powdered sugar in a bowl and add 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, stir well with a whisk. Add more lemon juice if necessary.
Place the loaves on a rack and pour the glaze on top.
Let it harden for 30 minutes.
