Lemon Jelly

A rich and refreshing lemon jelly with cream. A delicious dessert that you can present in different ways to make it look radiant. It is simple to prepare and is super rich.

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 5 tablespoons lime juice, yellow or green
  • 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons lime zest

  • Grease 6 individual jelly or souffle containers with a little vegetable oil.
  • Mix the milk and cream in a medium size pot. Add the vanilla and heat until it begins to boil, remove from heat. Cover and allow it to cool for 30 minutes.
  • In a dish mix the lemon juice with the gelatin and let it dissolve for 10 minutes.
  • Add the gelatin and sugar to the milk mixture and mix over low heat until it dissolves. Remove from heat and add the cream and lemon zest. Divide into containers and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
