Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
In an electric mixer with the dough hook, mix the butter and sugar until you have a fluffy mixture.
Add the Karo syrup and continue mixing. Then add the flour and nuts and mix until you have a uniform dough.
On a large sheet of wax paper, place the dough and form an elongated cylinder covered with the wax paper using your hands. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Prepare two baking sheets with a layer of wax paper.
Remove the dough from the refrigerator and with a knife cut the cylinder into cookies 1 cm wide and place them on the baking sheets.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the cookies are golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving.
