Little Eyes

This Ojitos recipe is for making delicious Jam-filled Cookies that resemble the shape of eyes; pair them with Milk or your beverage of choice.

  • 150 grams lard, soft
  • 130 grams icing sugar, powdered
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 250 grams flour
  • 200 grams raspberry jam

  • Preheat the oven to moderate temperature (180ºC).
  • In a bowl, mix the butter with the powdered sugar until the mixture is creamy.
  • Add the egg yolks and essence, mix. Add the sifted flour and combine.
  • Take portions of dough and form spheres with your floured palms.
  • Place them on a greased and floured baking sheet.
  • With your finger, make a small hole in the center of each cookie.
  • Put the jam in a piping bag and fill the holes.
  • Bake for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.
